]]><![CDATA[Trick or Treat 4 Sick Children]]>Thu, 21 Oct 2021 23:00:00 GMThttps://www.brightsparkschildcare.ie/our-news/trick-or-treat-4-sick-children🎃For Halloween this year we decided to be part of the #TrickorTreat4SickChildren, a Fundraiser supported by MiWadi Ireland to raise vital funds for all the sick Boys and Girls in 3 of the most wonderful Children's Hospitals in ireland- Temple Street, Crumlin & Connolly. 🎃

🎃All our Boys and Girls did an amazing job of dressing up in the most Spooktacular costumes, from Pumpkins and Penguins to Witches and Wizards! We raised over €500 for the cause, and would like to thank each and everyone of you for your support, this is a charity so close to many of our hearts.🎃

Today we learned about slugs in our gardens and their love for cabbage ...

We don’t want the slugs to eat all the leaves so therefore we use recycled ground coffee around the leaves to keep away the cheeky slugs.

The boys and girls were busy organising their own bags of coffee to bring home to their garden today.

Following on from Tuesday's government announcement, the Minister has informed us that our ECCE programme will return for all children as from Monday 8th March. Until then we will provide childcare for parents of both essential and front line work. If you are within these categories and need childcare from next Monday 1st March please email us at brightsparkschildcare@hotmail.com asap. If you have any questions regarding return to creche / ECCE / essential or frontline workers etc please email us and we will answer your queries.. We will do a covid return to creche check via email also prior to return so it is important that you inform us of your childcare intentions. We are really looking forward to seeing you all in the near future. Please continue to adhere to all guidelines and stay safe.

Inlight of these challenging times it is unfortunate that we are unable to allow our families and friends come into our school to share the christmas spirit. This year we had to comprise and to do this we created a movie that would allow our friends and families get an insight into our school lives as we prepare for Christmas. Each class shared their very own special performance which they had been rehearsing for weeks, we had lots music, singing and dancing to spread the christmas cheer. We hope our families and friends loved our Christmas Movie just as much as we did.
