Green School
At Bright Sparks we take pride in looking after our environment. We believe by feeding the minds of our younger generation now, will support them with life skills that they can carry through to adulthood.
To date we have received 5 Green Flags: litter and waste, energy, water, travel and biodiversity. ☘️☘️☘️ We are currently working on our 6th Green Flag, Global Citizenship- litter and waste. We are delighted to have achieved a huge addition to our town of an extra dog litter bin. Through our campaign during 2018/2019 whereby the committee (preschoolers and parents) met with the dog wardens and local council representatives and managed to explain the huge problem of dog fowling on our local footpaths. ☘️☘️☘️ All the children and their teachers in Bright Sparks are always working hard to make the world a better place by promoting green schools. ☘️☘️☘️ During the year we promote gardening and planting seeds. We have a in house competition where all classes have their own boxes/baskets planting areas to be looked after. |
