Outside The Classroom...
As part of the curriculum in the early years getting outdoors and exposed to nature is so important. We can learn so much from the outdoors, it is such a healthy and fun activity for the children. The outdoor classroom is structured for multi-purposes such as ‘Muddy Kitchen’, ‘Planting’, ‘Sensory Board’, with different tools and utensils. 🌸🌸🌸 “Let’s get out and make imagination happen” All children get to use this classroom at different times during the busy day. At Bright Sparks we take pride in the best practice for early years. The importance of play for children’s healthy development is grounded in a strong body of research. 🌸🌸🌸 As a natural and compelling activity, play promotes cognitive, physical, social and emotional well being, offering the necessary conditions for children for children to thrive, to learn, experience, explore and understand the natural world. “The best classroom and richest cupboard are roofed only by the sky” |

Outdoor Play Area...
The outdoor play area is a world of its own where children can learn through exploring and pretend play. Teamwork is evident through regular sports and creative experiences.
☀️☀️☀️
We have a sandpit, an outdoor classroom, a planting courtyard, a mud kitchen, a sensory board, outdoor playhouse and story room, a climbing bench, a loft, a climbing tunnel, and the AstroTurf allows for all-year round use outdoors! Weekly soccer coaching takes places with Craig during school term. During the dry weather we enjoy bringing our classroom outdoors! All classes get to spend the outdoors each day. A timetable schedule is in operation, so no two groups are out together.

Soft play area...
Here in Bright Sparks we insure to give our children a wide range of opportunities to not only enhance their experience with us but to aid in fundamental life and development skills. One of which is gardening, at least every two weeks and more often in the spring and summer months each class learns all about growing fruit, veg, plants and flowers. They are involved in the planting, maintenance and feeding of all our wonderful plants in our garden. Have a look at some pictures of what our children get up to in the garden.
Visit from Local Farmers...
Here at Bright Sparks, our children love nature and animals, we often get visits from very special four legged friends, where the boys and girls can feed and look after the animals.
Activities like these teach the children all about loving and caring for animals as well as being confident around them.
